Jenny’s Journey…and it’s not over yet!

1983

Paralyzed at nine months old from the neck down. She contracted a rare virus, Transverse Myelitis, and became an incomplete C4/C5 quadriplegic.

1984

Became the first child in the state of Colorado to get a power wheelchair when she was only two years old

1991

Named an Ambassador Child for the Children’s Hospital

1991

Appeared in Perry Mason: The Case of the Glass Coffin

1994

Received her service dog, Auggie

2000

Won the Metropolitan Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award and graduated from Westminster High School

2004

Graduated with honors from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor Speech Communication

2004

Named Ms. Wheelchair Colorado

2005

Learned how to drive in Pennsylvania and obtained my license

2005

Started working for the Colorado Rockies and Altitude Sports

2009

Began advocating for Complex Rehab Technology and NRRTS

2012

Became a spokesperson for Sunrise Medical

2017

Had an accessible home built

2020

Named NRRTS Consumer Advocate of the Year

2021

Began working for the Denver Broncos
